Dr Sarah Clark

Dr Sarah Clark, BMedSci, MBBS, FRCP, is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at St George's Hospital, London, having been appointed in 2003. Dr Clark undertook her medical training in Nottingham, completing her specialist training in gastroenterology in London. Her Doctorate of Medicine was carried out at King’s College Hospital, London, investigating  insulin resistance in acute liver failure, this predominantly being undertaken on the Liver Intensive Care Unit.

Dr Clark’s practice encompasses all aspects of general gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr Clark having a particular clinical interest in Hepatology, including the investigations of abnormal liver function tests, the fatty liver, the management of chronic liver disease, hepatobiliary disease (both cancer and non cancer causes) and viral hepatitis.  

Dr Clark is skilled in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy and has a particular interest in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Dr Clark has an interest in training and education and was training programme director for Gastroenterology Training in South London. She also teaches on the endoscopy training courses at St George’s Hospital, the endoscopy unit being a National Endoscopy Training Centre.
